There is a new Condominium resort on Ambergris Caye just north of downtown San Pedro which is certain to become one of the top, if not the best luxury hotel on Ambergris Caye, and it is called The Phoenix.

In common with most Condo Hotels that aspire to be in the top flight, the accommodation is absolutely top class from the huge fluffy beds to the very impressively designed and fitted kitchens.

The condos are roomy  and also very comfortable, and of course the benefit of the fully equipped kitchen means breakfast at your leisure, and if you wanted to a stay at home evening relaxing and watching DVD’s after a kitchen cooked supper.

These condos are seriously impressive with luxury accommodation ,  from the wardrobe space to the Jacuzzi, and the luxury impressive as well with all the furniture and doors made from local woods, with the overall design of the resort having been well thought out and superbly well implemented, with a really lovely pool area as the centrepiece. In fact the whole hotel is quite beautifully landscaped around the pool which is very much at the centre of everything.
You’ve got a profusion of tropical plants and flowers which as they mature and spread will be even more magnificent. The whole area is so well designed for absolutely bone idle leisure, whether it be sitting reading looking out onto the Caribbean over the edge of the infinity pool, or sitting cooling off on a seat under a waterfall.

Although still very new The Phoenix gets almost unanimously good comments, and first amongst the compliments seems to be the incredible pool, and secondly the high level of customer service experienced, where the customer is so obviously their number one priority. A close third comes the sheer size of the condo and the views from the huge verandas, of the pool and the shimmering turquoise blue Caribbean as a backdrop.

The location is always commented favourably about, as it is within easy walking distance of the restaurants and bars and nightlife in San Pedro, but just far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Another plus is the proximity of grocery stores for those vital provisions. This is a big bonus, because most of the hotels on Ambergris Caye need at best a taxi journey and often a boat journey to get to the restaurants and bars in San Pedro.

There seems little doubt that The Phoenix qualifies as a top condominium resort and at the same time it has the potential to be one a top luxury hotel not only on Ambergris Caye, but also in the whole of Belize. It is difficult to find anything to complain about, and that by itself is an exception. If one were to be hypercritical then the lack of a really good beach might be the only negative side to this beachfront resort, but the fantastic pool rated 10/10 by most children more than compensates for this.
