Turneffe Island Lodge is about 30 miles off the coast of Belize at the very southern tip of the Turneffe Atoll, right in the middle of the largest coral reef system in the Western Hemisphere.
It is a 14 acre private Caribbean Island and is a real scuba diving resort, with 70 dive sites within a mile or so of the resort, it is probably amongst the really great diving resorts in the world.
This isn’t to forget that Turneffe Island Lodge is also just a great vacation getaway, a real Caribbean Island getaway for people who don’t dive but want an idyllic island, with more than a little similarity to a Maldivian island when you look at some of the photographs.
